DOUGLAS B HUNT, SR. 

I was born in Charleston, West Virginia in 1956.  After high school, I attended Morris Harvey College (now College of Charleston) in Charleston, West Virginia and in 1978 obtained a B.S. degree in Accounting, with a minor in marketing and management.  During those years, I worked as an accounting specialist in the equipment leasing department of the commercial loan branch of the state’s largest bank.  After graduation, I attended University of Virginia Law School where I obtained my law degree in 1982 along with completing the tax law program.   

After law school, I worked with an established law firm in West Virginia that specialized in real estate, estate planning, individual and corporate taxation.  In 1988, I opened my own law firm with a general practice with emphasis in contracts and real estate and continued that practice through 2005.  in the interim, I also passed the bar exams and became licensed in Florida and South Carolina. 

In addition to working with clients on personal and investment real estate projects over the years, I took any extra earnings I had and invested in rental real estate and properties to buy and sell.   From this experience I got my degree from the school of hard knocks on real life real estate.
